The Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) was established in 2010 to contribute to developing alternative and innovative policy interventions through high-quality research, analysis and advocacy in Africa’s energy and extractives sector. The organisation’s focus is to create a strong connection between research evidence and advocacy, which was limited at the time to increase transparency and accountability around energy and extractive sector governance in the region.

This platform serves as a tool for citizens to monitor and access information on the status of the power sector, make complaints, and provide general feedback on the power situation within their communities..

We show projects in Ghana that are funded by oil revenue. Our goal is to educate the Ghanaian masses on how revenue from Ghana’s oil field is spent and distributed across all sectors of the economy.
