A Boutique in the USA struggled to convert new business. However, when out in the field at the customer site, they could not provide fast and accurate proposals as they couldn’t access the real-time data they needed. By the time the sales consultant returned to the main office, assessed the possible stock levels, created the proposal, and sent it over … the prospect had often moved on with a different service.

A growing government contractor in Ghana had a small in-house IT team who had always provided excellent support. However, they had been overwhelmed by day-to-day support requests because the business had expanded. This meant they no longer had the time to deal with the strategic projects needed to assist the business to compete, nor did they have the time to maintain up with constantly altering requirements for regulatory compliance.

We sent a technician to the school who was in a position to resolve the outage quickly, getting essential services back up and running. However, after the outage, their servers returned to factory reset and lost all initial configurations. This meant spending the next few days rebuilding the servers, a very time-consuming and thus costly process.

It was not until a new CFO joined the team and took a closer look at what the organization was spending on IT that they realized how much their finances had become uncontrolled.

They partnered with Oceancyber to evaluate and see what could be done to scale back their IT spending and enhance outdated systems with lackluster performance.

ACEP (Africa Centre for Energy Policy) is a 60-person nonprofit organization based in Ghana. Its mission is to conduct evidence-based research, policy analysis, capacity development and advocacy to ensure effective and equitable utilization of energy and extractive resources in Africa.
When ACEP first began, it had a single in-house IT Director. Because of several components, including organizational and budget modifications, a decision was made to outsource their IT.

As a proud community financial institution with six regional offices and plans for continued progress in the future, Home State Bank discovered itself struggling to keep up with the IT needs of a rising financial services company.
Four internal IT employees covered all bases, from daily troubleshooting to network engineering projects. There was little time for any future planning, and all the IT infrastructure was functioning on a break-fix basis. It was clear that this bottleneck couldn’t continue.

The new network design helped the agency enhance operational productivity and set the stage for continued development. Instructions for maintaining and handling all new systems have been carefully documented by Oceancyber and handed off to the client’s IT staff.
